AID CoV-iSpot SARS-CoV-2 FluoroSpot Assay
The EliSpot Assay (Enzyme-linked Immuno-Spot Assay) is able to detect a T cell reaction on a singular cell level, and therfore characterizes the individual immune answer of infected persons. The FluoroSpot Assay is an advancement thereof and able to detect polyfunctional T cells.
The evidence of cytokine secretion of T cells - which were stimulated with specific corona virus antigenes - adds up to a highly differentiated picture of the immune response, to monitor the developing course of disease and the immunity after the infection.
The AID CoV-iSpot detects the IFN-γ and IL-2 reaction of specifically activated T cells against coronaviridae (PAN-Corona peptide-mix) and /or SARS-CoV-2 (SARS-CoV-2 peptide-mix).
Also available as AID CoV-iSpot pure, for parallel testing of 24 instead of 12 patients, without PAN-Corona peptide-mix.
